Dec 25/08 – “Motivation” is sure a powerful thing. I overcame my “internet fear tonight”!!! Believe it or not, I was able to do internet research for the first time. I was looking for ghost writers, editors, etc.
However, after spending over 2 hours searching for the perfect ghost writer but didn’t find one, I decided to stick to the original plan of me writing mom’s story myself, then hire editors instead. I will interview the ones who speak the “same language” as I do so my voice is retained. Then, I will publish it and present it to Mom on her 65th birthday!!
Oh, also the motivation to write mom’s book was what initiated me to start “reading.” I could not take the book, The Concubine’s Children, off my hand. I am on page 70 already! My last record of reading any book, fiction or non-fiction, is 30 pages!!
I hope to make reading a new habit or even addiction since that is something I had always wished that my kids and I would do regularly. But my priority will be reading biography.
