Dec 23/08 – I am on chapter 2 now – the most I have ever read without falling asleep or being bored enough to give up already! Could it be because of my latest motivation of wanting to write a story on Mom?
However, I am starting to feel the “challenge” now. It seems that there are a lot more involved than I imagined yesterday when I decided to write Mom’s story, such as researching to find out more data on what was happening around during those times, doing a bunch of interviews with people other than Mom, having a large vocabulary bank, having good writing skills, and so on….. This is on top of reading a few more books on other people’s story so I can learn the author’s style, and taking some courses to improve my writing skills…
It will be a much longer and harder process than what I have expected…. But I haven’t given up the goal to write Mom’s story yet!!
I am sure there will be things I can get out of reading so even if I don’t end up writing the book at all, I will have nothing to lose…
