We drove 4.5 hrs from Arizona to Vegas meet up with my mom, aunt, sister, brother in law, son and friends to celebrate Chinese New Year and to see Sam Hui’s concert. Sam is known as the “God of Cantonese Pop” and I used to listen to his songs everyday during the early 80s. He looks quite amazing for someone 70 years old!
It was a short but amazing 3 day trip: lots of good food, shopping, drinking, laughing and catching up with loved ones.
I forgot how many times I had been to Vegas over the last 27 years; I stopped counting after my 20th time. But the most memorable trip was still the one where I took grandma there and stayed at Palace Station which was a 20 minute bus ride from the strip due to my tight budget back in 1990. I miss her every time I am back in this city. 🙂
