A week went by just like that. I came to Victoria to settle Deon in his new boarding school for the first 4 days then I spent the last 3 days visiting my friend in Tofino.
Both Deon and I are very impressed with the new school. I feel very confident in my choice of this school for him especially after our 4 day visit. We were very impress with the teachers, doctors, nurses, house parents and students we have met so far.
I went to visit Alan and his new restaurant in Tofino after Deon settled into the school. I am happy Vanessa and Brent came with me and did the 4 hrs of driving for me.
The first time I visited Long Beach in Tofino was in 1996. I was in awe when I stepped onto the sand back then and still in awe when I stepped onto the same sand today, 18 years later. I had seen whiter sand but never stepped on finer sand then this!
I feel very grateful to have Alan and Vanessa as my hosts during my 1 week visit in the Vancouver Island. Thanks for being such great hosts! Let’s hope we can have another reunion in Vancouver again someday soon.
