July 3/12 – I decided to go to Tofino to spend the Canada Day long weekend with Lisa’s (my sister) family and Celine and Deon. I am so glad I went. I got to bond with Cadence, Lucas and Celine. I was so happy the kids voluntarily came to me on the 2nd night. I also got to spend some quality time with Lisa and David.
The last time I was in Tofino was 8 years ago. The beach still looks the same. The sounds of the waves are still beautiful but I am a much different person today than back then for sure.
I remember the first time I was in Tofino was in 1996. I had such an amazing weekend here that I wished then to build a bed and breakfast in this place after I turned 50 with my Mr. Right who, hopefully, would be a handyman. I love the idea of having different guests visiting from different parts of the world. I also love the idea of being away from my children yet not too far away so they and my grandkids can always come to visit me.
Today, those thoughts seem so far away and so out of reality because I can’t say I will even be in Canada by the time I am 50 anymore since a World Citizen is what I plan to become now….
