After 26 hours of delay in Air Canada in Shanghai and a plane crash dream, I am so glad to make it home safe today….
Kam came for dinner and we caught up with each other today. Again, we were able to start from where we last left off 6 months ago. Such a great feeling!! :))
I told Kam that my “latest long term passion/mission” is #1 to find Mr. Right and #2 to travel around the world with him as soon as both Kel and Jo are in university (meaning 3 yrs from today). I said since #1 is not likely to happen because it’s not easy to find someone who is “baggage free” (meaning no kids or career attachments) to consider accompanying me to complete #2. Kam said that it wouldn’t be a problem as long as my thoughts/feelings would “still” the same in 2.5 yrs then he will go with me…. Haha.
Kam will always be Kam – a wise man who will always put my “emotions” as the priority. He always knows how to “avoid” ruining my mood or disappointing me.. He obviously knows chances of me feeling the same in 2.5 yrs are super slim so why ruin my mood now…. :))
Oh, the plan is a 3 year commitment to go around the world but De is still at home, so I will be way too homesick to take off 18 months straight, thus 50 % of this 3 years will just be short trips.
Knowing that Kam is prepared to be my “back up” plan as my travel companion to help me complete my “long time dream” of traveling (btw traveling alone was never and will never be an option for me) around the world actually makes me feel pretty good because I am confident he will keep his words as long as that is still my wish by then… :)). Such a blessing to have this best friend in my life!!!
I am blogging this message because it means a lot to me and I am very curious to go back to read it sometime in the future…. :))
