Reconciling with Neil – March 4/16 = 6

Resentment

Today, I am very happy to receive an apology email from Neil, my travel buddy and a long lost friend.  It was a “light” feeling reading the email and there was certainly no heaviness in letting go of whatever I felt before.  For this, I can’t help feeling grateful for what I learned in the personal growth workshop I attended… “To forgive is to give up the desire to punish someone. It’s the resentment that kills you more than what they did to you. Resentment is the poison you take hoping someone else dies.”

That email resulted in a 5 hour dinner.  The conversation totally started from where we last left off 2 years ago.  Good friends are so hard to come by and therefore I treasure each and everyone of them.
