Mother’s Day 2008 = 6

mothers-day

May 11/08 – After a long and deep sleep, I woke up when Kel came into my room, greeted me, and gave me a mother’s day gift: a colourful recipe book with 100 sophisticated but simple recipes.  He knows that I have been in the cooking mode lately.   This is very thoughtful of him – considering the fact that I am  not really into reading and that I prefer cooking simple dish.  What a nice start of the day.

De made me a card with very sweet message. Jo said that she would personally bake me a cake from scratch, meaning, that she won’t be using all those ready-to-bake mixes 🙂

I am really inspired by my children and so I decided that I would build a mansion on the property along SW Marine Drive that I had just bought.  That mansion will be really for them.  It’s accessible to UBC where Jo has decided to go.  It has big enough a space to accommodate the basketball court that I decided to be added since Kel plays basketball.  It also has the perfect spot for the swimming pool where De can practice.

Having this mansion is like killing 2 birds with one stone.  It is indeed a perfect place for all of us now but later on, when I decide to sell it, it will also bring in nice profit regardless of the market conditions. Actually, I have decided to sell the mansion once Kel leaves for McGill after the Olympics.

I will be making money when I sell the mansion in the future but in the meantime, I give my children the opportunity to enjoy what they are interested in.
