I think I am very lucky because I was such a problem teenager that I thought payback will come someday when I have kids…
I just finished watching Kel’s game. It wasn’t that great because we won so easily (72-21). But as I watched Kel played and observed Jo worked as a scorekeeper, I recalled my high school days – spending time in pool halls, drinking at karaoke bars, getting into fights etc. I now feel so grateful that my son is very athletic – healthy and avoids trouble. Now, my goal is for De to follow Kel’s path too!
With the game over, I moved on to cheer for De now. He’s taking his first piano exam today.
I shared this with LD who said that what I have now is more than luck. He complemented me on how I have raised such awesome kids; that this is credit for me . He said that he was proud of me, at how I gave them my life. With this wonderful words, I really believe that I have such wonderful kids. And loving, too.
And here is what Eric said “Who says kids have to follow their parent’s path right?” Like LD, Eric complimented me by saying that I was the perfect example of someone who was conscious of where my children were and where they wanted to go and made that change. That is why good things follow.
