I fell in love with Vietnam this time.  Amazing food for just a fraction of North America pricing!  This country is growing so fast.  Lots of opportunities here for those wanting to make a difference by sharing their expertise and making money in the process of helping this developing country become even more developed.

HCMC - Vietnam

We joined a tour to see the Cu Chi Tunnels and the Mekong River.  The Mekong River is the world’s twelfth longest river and the seventh longest in Asia. Its estimated length is 4,350 km, It is a trans-boundary river in Southeast Asia.  It borders China in the north, has a long border with  Laos, and also borders Cambodia in the southwest. Vietnam shares maritime borders with Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand.

The Cu Chi tunnels found under the Cu Chi district of Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam are a complex network of connecting tunnels that form part of an even larger network that spreads throughout Vietnam. The tunnels were used frequently during the Vietnam War by the Viet Cong to store food and weapons, hide, communicate, and provide sheltered areas for medical attention.  It was sad to learn the history and violence during war time behind the history of this tunnel …

 

We are heading to Thailand for a hot Christmas on the beach.
