Update #50 – Boston, Massachusetts, USA

Boston, MA - 04

Aug. 20/13 – Despite our stress prior to getting here, our 2-day visit of Boston has been very productive.  We managed to see downtown, historic town, Chinatown, the Financial District but most importantly we saw both the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the Harvard University, the 2 top universities that I fantasize someday someone in my family would be attending… 🙂

Boston, with a population of around 625,000, is the capital and largest city of the US state of Massachusetts. It is one of the oldest cities in the United States, first established as a town in 1630 by Puritan colonists from England and then converted into a city in the 1800s.  This small community evolved into a city that has become an important center for business, health care and education.  Its rich economic and social history makes it a favourite tourist destination with million registered visitors annually.

I definitely like Boston more than New York since it is a smaller city and it is way less busy.  The seafood is good here and the price seems lower than Vancouver too.  The streets are clean and the buildings are nice.  I am not here long enough to comment further.

We are very excited to be heading to Silver Bay on the beautiful Lake George in Albany, New York for our annual Personal Growth Retreat now…
