Nov. 22/12 – The “Amy Room”: A Room in My Honour – What an Honour!
While I was in Buenos Aires, my daughter, Jody emailed me a picture of 2 plaques that reads “Amy Room” and “Lana Room.” Wow! Such a nice surprise to wake up to! A room named after us! It’s indeed a total surprise to learn that Eric had named one of the 2 boardrooms in his new office the “Amy Room.” The other boardroom is named after my Mom, so it’s called the “Lana Room.”
These plaques were found posted outside the 2 board rooms in my brother’s new office. It was his tribute to us. There is a short blurb written on each stating how mom and I had individually affected his business. What an honour!! It’s indeed a total surprise to me. I feel so touched and totally speechless now. I just wish I was there for his grand opening party that day to share the joy and the success of my one and only beloved brother…
Throughout my life, I have been told by many people how I have inspired them or affected them by something I said to them or an experience I went through with them. I always feel good whenever I hear that because I love knowing that I make difference in some one’s life. I do have a habit of giving tributes and of course I love receiving tributes, too. They really motivate us to do more, to share more and be better.
