Deon and I decided to join Eric and Allen’s family on a cruise to Russia before we began our road trip in Europe. We were in St. Petersburg is for 2 days and I was very surprised how pretty it is, along with all the history— as evidenced by the plethora of museums!
There were 28 of us in total on the 9 day Norwegian Getaway Cruise and I really enjoyed the company but didn’t enjoy the food or service! We got on and off the cruise in Copenhagen which is the capital city of Denmark. This city is very expensive: feels like Paris prices for Calgary quality! But one good thing is that there is free WiFi everywhere — including in the taxi!
Helsinki in Finland, Tallinn in Estonia and Warnemunde in Germany were the smaller ports that we only spent half a day exploring.
My favourite port was Stockholm, Sweden. Such a beautiful city! I would love to come back and explore this city some more in the future.
