This is my first boating experience, a 2.5 hour boat ride to Poet’s Cove in South Pender Island….
I was invited to a boating get-together trip in the Poet’s Cove this weekend. I had amazing discoveries. Am so glad I came because I met some wonderful, wise, and intelligent people. I also learnt so much about boating.
The boats there this weekend ranged from $300,000 to $3M. And the one I had my eye on cost 1 million. I would love to own that someday when I find that “rare diamond” to travel with across the Pacific Ocean. Talking about needing inspirations, eh? Lol
I hanged around a group of very wealthy people, mostly old money. Some familiar personalities are the CEO of Best Buy & Future Shop, the President of Super Save, the CEO of a few other well known companies which probably only I haven’t heard of. Lol
But the surprising discovery is the wealthier they are, the more class they have. So my “perception” on rich people being “arrogant, snobbish and conceited” should really get deleted. Such a wonderful crowd!! I think perhaps only those that are starting to get rich fall into that category?? The men are very charming, gentleman, and good looking but surprisingly, their partners aren’t anything close to world-class models. I wonder why??
This experience was so unlike the one I had Dubai. Here in this boat trip, I didn’t feel “poor” when I was surrounded by these wealthy people. Perhaps it’s because to me nowadays, true wealth is not measured by digits anymore??….. :)).
I just respect how each of them finds their own way to live a happy and meaningful life and I decided I will continue to explore further to find out what it takes for me for have a joyful life… :))
