Home Sweet Home now! Had such an amazingly awesome trip! I sang enough hours of karaoke within the 2 weeks to last me 2 years! So much fun going back through memory lane! Already missing the people, the food and the good times I had in Taiwan. Just booked my ticket to go back there for my birthday this November.
I had been to over 160 cities and Taipei is definitely still one of my top 3 favourite cities to live and to visit! This was my last stop during my 2 year journey with Deon back in 2013. We stayed here for 4 months to learn Mandarin back then. It’s also where I met a few local friends whom we’ve stayed in touch with ever since. They are super kind and friendly.
As usual, I really enjoyed staying at Paul’s condo in Taoyuan. He made me feel just like home! I have known Paul for over 30 years and he is just like a little bro to me. We chatted for many hours late at night. It was very heartwarming to witness how much he has achieved and grown over the years. So proud of him!
This Taiwan trip was extra special because I also got to spend 4 days with my new godparents who live in Taichung in the central part of Taiwan. It takes only an hour to get there from Taipei on the high speed train.
