Four days here went by just like that. The weather here was surprising nicer than that in Taiwan. Way less humid! I was told that the hottest month is March so it’s starting to cool off now but that means still about 28-35 degree Celsius (82-95F).
The last time I was here was 5 years ago. And so, I really enjoyed reconnecting with old friends. Through them, I saw how much my values have shifted since that last time. They reminded me of the life style I used to have but no longer interests me now.
The nickname I got for myself in Thailand five years ago was “Kobe” and I am still known by that name today. Why? Because cows that produce kobe beef are massaged and are given beer to drink. These are exactly what I enjoy whenever I am here. lol
It has been a very productive trip. Meetings went better than I had expected! But I am ready to go home now. I am looking forward to enjoying Vancouver’s beautiful summer! This will be the first year in 7 years without a boat so it will be interesting to see what I will do to replace the time I normally spend boating and crabbing.
Next trip will be on a cruise to Alaska on July 19-26/15….
Have not had time to read your travels as I used to do. You must tell me where to eat in Bangkok Amy as I maybe there in December 2015.
I am going to email you the business card of this authentic Thai restaurant I loved while I was there! Food court inside Mekong Mall is really good too!
